Heavy Duty Garage Plans
Heavy Duty Garage Plans is a new category created by Behm Design. These plans are not available with other plan companies. I decided to make plans with greater-than-ordinary structure capacities in response to many customer inquiries. They have been popular. You can drive in heavier, larger equipment and vehicles, create storage racks built onto sturdy framed walls, insulate to a greater level in cold or hot climates. For years customers have asked if we could "heavy-up" the standard garages. This is the Heavy Duty garage plans collection - made larger, stronger, better:
1. 2 x 6 stud wall framing @ 16 inches on center
2. framed wall height of 10 feet
3. optional, thicker 6-inch concrete floor slab with an option of added rebar for greater weight capacity
4. perimeter concrete foundation/slab options feature #4 bar reinforcing
5. oversized width x 8-foot height garage door(s)
6. snow-load capacity up to 70 pounds per square foot specification - roof framing or trusses space at 16 inches rather than 24 inches on center.
