Colonial Style Garage Plans

Colonial style garage plans made by Behm Design.  We created new plans for the famous restored and preserved 18^thcentury "dependencies" (outbuildings). You can see the historic district area of Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. They built the original buildings with primitive, sturdy methods. Carpenters used stacked timber, timber posts & beams with an infill of mud, plaster or clay. Brick-masons built with  true brick masonry. We have designed these garage plans to closely resemble the original buildings after careful consideration of scale, proportions, patterns, textures, and details. This way the buildings are code compliant and so have measures of safety and quality built in with much lower cost and maintenance than the originals.
