The tall Gambrel Attic Storage truss profile used in this garage plan creates a large storage area in the roof, accessed by either pull-down, folding access ladder or ceiling-access opening. Garage plans of this design create lots of space (12 ft. wide x 7 ft. high) for storage and spec. calls for 20#/sf live load which is a standard load for attic use. The 9 ft high walls and 8 ft high garage door allows tall vehicles. Any style of garage door can be used – this illustration portrays the “country” style as one way to finish out the building.
